Bike Van Buren XXIV

Bike Van Buren XXIV is a family-oriented, leisurely 2-day bicycle ride through 11 historic Villages of Van Buren County which are located in scenic Southeast Iowa.

The designated routes (shared roadways) are clearly marked and wind through the gentle rolling hillsides along the "Historic Hills Scenic Byway" into each of our historic Villages. Complimentary SAG support and technical assistance, provided by Bickels Bicycle Shop of Burlington, IA will be enroute with the bikers.

The ride begins Saturday morning with registration in the Keosauqua City Park from 7am-8:30am. Registered riders will receive a map with hospitality stops listed. Saturday' route will be approx. 70 miles. Sunday's route will be approx. 39 miles. (Optional shortcuts are available both days.)

Bike Van Buren is known for the outstanding hospitality that the bikers receive as they pedal into each of our Villages. Many organizations provide complimentary food & drink at each stop and lunch is available along the route on both days for a nominal fee.

The "Fun Poker Run" has been very popular the past 2 years. Each participant receives a score card at registration. You draw a card at 5 designated hospitality stops and try to get the best "Poker Hand". $100 cash is awarded to the best hand on both days. Prizes and gift certificates, provided by TREK Bicycles & Bickels Bicycle Shop in Burlington, IA will be given to 2nd, low & worst hands on each day.

All riders receive a FREE commemorative T-shirt.
